Rev. Peanut's Habanero Hummus
Hummus, generally, is a significantly delicious item. Add a habanero and watch your world expand...
Necessary Items:
A couple of tins of chick peas
A teaspoon containing cumin seeds
2 further teaspoons containing sesame seeds
Half of an additional teaspoon containing corriander seeds
5 cloves of garlic
Some beautiful olive oil
The juice of half a lemon. Use the rest of the lemon for your g&t
1 Chocolate Habanero
A smidgin of salt and pepper
How To Do It:
Chuck the cumin, sesame and corriander seeds into a fryin' pan and toast 'em over a low heat for about 4, or possibly 5 minutes. Stop when the sesame seeds are starting to turn golden.
Spill the seeds into a mortar and squish 'em thoroughly with the associated pestle.
Remove your blender from the blender storage facility.
Drain the chick peas and put half of them in the blender. Add all the rest of the ingredients except for the beautiful olive oil. Dump the other half of the chick peas on top.
Put the lid on the blender and put it to work, doing what it does best. Blending. Gradually add the beautiful olive oil until your preferred consistency has been achieved.
Empty into a pretty bowl or two or three and grind some fresh black pepper on top and drizzle with a bit more of the beautiful olive oil.
Cover with cling-film and stick it in the fridge for a few hours. Overnight is better.
Munch it on bread, in wraps, smothering a filthy burger or however you see fit. It can also be used as toothpaste.
