Rev. Peanut's Sparrow & Goose Risotto
Sparrow & Goose Risotto
Necessary Items:
2 knobs of butter (not a medical condition)
A chilli, but not a hot one. Quite delicate flavours, you see
A bunch of asparagus chopped in whatever fancy shapes you enjoy
1 medium onion
A cup or so of rice. Arborio rice, I believe is best for risotto
Some chicken or vegetable stock, depending on whether you are a chicken or a vegetable
The citrus life-blood squeezed from half a murdered lemon
A splash of white wine
A splash of parmesan
Some Herbie's Salt & Pepper
How To Do It:
Dice the onion and lightly sautee with one of your knobs
Add the rice and chilli and stir it about a bit. Cook for a couple of minutes
Add the splash of wine and the lemming juice and stir until absorbed
Gradually add stock and keep stirring until absorbed. Keep doing this for about 15 minutes
Meanwhile, in a conveniently placed but separate saucepan, bring some water to the boil
When it's boiling, chuck in the asparagus
Strain them into a sieve after about 30 seconds and refresh under cold running water
Chuck 'em into the rice, add your other knob and stir it about again
Pour into a serving bowl
Sprinkle with faerie dust and parmesan and salt 'n' pepper and serve to your eagerly waiting guests
Punch any guest who looks like they may not be enjoying it
